In addition to choosing a concrete vibrator, you'll need a suitable motor and accessories. These may include a vibrating conveyor, a vibrating screen, and a probe.
Generally, the most common type of concrete vibrator is the internal one. It has a probe that is inserted into the wet concrete and slowly withdraws as it vibrates. However, internal vibrators will not remove the majority of air bubbles.
Internal vibrators are most effective when performing concrete slump conditions of three inches or more. They should be placed at regular intervals throughout the concrete. If not, water separation could occur.
When purchasing a concrete vibrator, you should keep in mind that a low quality whip can burn up after hours of use. Also, the tip of the vibrator should be placed six inches into the previous layer of concrete.
