The Difference Between Internal and External Concrete Vibrators

Internal Concrete Vibrators and External Concrete Vibrators are two common vibrating tools used in concrete construction, and they differ mainly in how they are used and where they are applied:

     An internal concrete vibrator is a tool that is inserted directly into the concrete to vibrate. It usually consists of a vibrating head and a handle. The internal vibrator makes the entire concrete mass vibrate evenly by inserting the vibrating head into the concrete to eliminate air bubbles and improve the compactness and strength of the concrete.


     An external concrete vibrator is a tool that applies a vibrating force to a concrete surface. It usually consists of a vibrating plate or vibrator head section and a vibrating machine. The external vibrator works by placing the vibrator head or vibrating plate on the concrete surface to vibrate the entire surface evenly to eliminate air bubbles in the concrete and improve the smoothness and quality of the surface.

Internal vibrators vibrate by inserting the vibrating head into the concrete, while external vibrators vibrate by placing the vibrator head or vibrating plate on the concrete surface.
Internal vibrators are primarily used inside concrete to create uniform vibrations throughout the concrete mass. External vibrators are mainly used on concrete surfaces to vibrate the surface evenly.
Internal vibrators are typically used in larger volume concrete structures such as foundations, columns, beams, etc. External vibrators are often used on thin concrete structures such as floors, walls, steps, etc.
